Allergens and dietary information
Allergen information is maintained per dish and option. Cross-contact may still be possible in a shared kitchen.
Information before ordering
Each dish should show its name and the allergens known to be present before it is added to an order. Option and modifier allergens must also be taken into account.
The 14 regulated allergen groups
- Cereals containing gluten
- Crustaceans
- Eggs
- Fish
- Peanuts
- Soybeans
- Milk, including lactose
- Nuts
- Celery
- Mustard
- Sesame seeds
- Sulphur dioxide and sulphites above the regulated threshold
- Lupin
- Molluscs
Cross-contact and recipe changes
The kitchen may handle several allergens in shared preparation, storage and cooking areas. A “gluten-free”, vegan or other dietary label describes the recipe but is not by itself a guarantee against cross-contact. Ingredients and suppliers can change; ask the restaurant before ordering if a trace amount could cause a serious reaction.
Origin of meat
For meals sold online, the restaurant must make the required origin information available before purchase for fresh, chilled or frozen beef, pork, sheep, goat and poultry used as an ingredient. Check the dish information or contact the restaurant if it is not shown.
Ask before ordering
For a serious allergy or intolerance, contact the restaurant before placing the order so the kitchen can assess whether the requested meal can be prepared safely.
